Trying to make the country's builder scene something people can't
ignore.
I'm a high school student from Casablanca building at the crossroads of robotics, software, and community organizing. I compete with FTC team NOVATARD #24950 — two-time Inspire Award winners — and organize hackathons that have become the largest teen-led events of their kind in Morocco.
The four events I've co-organized — Counterspell, Scrapyard, Daydream, and Campfire — collectively brought together over 380 participants and hold four of the top five spots in Morocco's national teen-led hackathon ranking. They all started with a simple idea: run the kind of event we wished existed.
I also competed in FLL for several seasons, winning the Innovation Project Award and Robot Design Award multiple times, and qualifying for the Open Invitational Morocco in the SuperPowered season. Outside robotics, I've participated in NASA Space Apps (2023 & 2025) and was selected for The Experiment Digital in summer 2025.
I think the biggest problem in Morocco's builder scene isn't talent — it's the absence of a first moment. A weekend where someone realizes building is something they do, not just something they watch.

The third largest teen-led hackathon in Morocco. 90 participants during Ramadan 2025. Youth built real hardware and software projects from scratch in a weekend. March 2025.
The event that started it all — and still ranks 5th nationally. 40 participants, the Casablanca chapter of the global Hack Club Counterspell game jam. November 2024.
